Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 5 am–11 pm. Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Chicago follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

It has really fallen down hill. Been a member since 2020. The cleanliness has become a real issue. We no longer take our kids there due to contracting hand foot and mouth at their pool. We haven't used kidtown all year and darn if our kids have not gotten sick but a few times instead of every other week when we were taking them to kid/midtown each weekend. No longer use to hot tubs due to the scum layer. Management routinely shrugs off complaints with no action and a clear indifference to their customers concerns. Often siting the customer as the problem. If you don't take private lessons or work in the group classes you are treated as a second class member. You are responsible for moving around classes that are often taking up far more space than necessary and place themselves in the pathways necessary to access bathrooms, elevators, and gym equipment. Group classes will run over there scheduled time continuing to occupying space and equipment that should be available to the general membership. You are advised to delay your workout and day to allow them to finish despite their inability to stay on schedule. Membership prices are increase nearly twice per year on average and are n

I was a member here for five years, so this isn't a drive-by complaint. The facility itself is genuinely good β€” clean, well maintained, and the staff keep it in decent shape. The problem is the price. My monthly charge has gone up by nearly 50% since I joined, and I've seen nothing come back the other way. No new equipment, no upgrades, no visible reinvestment. When I asked about adding kit they didn't stock, I got automated AI responses and no follow-up. Twice. The other issue is the crowding. Teenagers year-round and young families flooding the place all summer make it hard to take advantage of the pool etc. At half the price, this was a good gym and I'd have stayed indefinitely. At current rates it's become laughable β€” what I pay here for one month covers a full year at the more basic gym I've moved to.

The aroma of roasted beans here is quite pleasant. We found the coffee and pastries to be a very good deal for the quality, offering excellent value. It felt like a worthwhile stop for us.

The facilities are beautiful and always clean. There are a wide variety of classes at all times- all of which are great. That said, as a single member, it is exorbitantly priced. We pay nearly half the membership fee of a family membership as 1 person. Nearly everything at the club feels catered towards families with little restrictions. Kids have very little restrictions at the pool in the summer, making it extremely difficult to even use the pool due to the volume of families and limitations of chairs (and the staff not enforcing the 21+ area), nor can adults bring guests on the weekends despite there being no limit on children on the family membership. It is IMPOSSIBLE to book a tennis court or a lesson- they are always taken or no coaches available. I literally had a coach tell me that he had no idea why they had scheduled me with him- his roster was full and not to book with him again. Additionally, my membership has increased $80 (25% increase from the initial monthly rate) in the last 3 years with no additional amenities for me. My guest passes remain the same (3 per year), my access remains the same, and the limitation of weekend guests remains the same.

My experience at Midtown has been amazing. Good amount of workout machines, very clean, great staff, great cocktails for those days πŸ˜€. The staff at the the front desk lobby makes me feel welcome at all the time. The staff at the spa is wonderful, my hairstylist Rebecca she AWESOME!!! I would love to try all the classes, but I’m too busy, hopefully one day though πŸ˜‰. Thank you to the team who makes all the things possible and kept us safe and healthy throughout the pandemic. THANK YOU!!
